The hotfix link above is for a flicker problem in Media Player, not Windows Aero itself. I went to the Intel website and grabbed the latest Windows 7 drivers for the chipset on my computer. Flicker is gone.

I have a similar problem, however it is the active window that flickers and can be annoying. It has the greatest affect when I am searching in the an area such as the control panel, and when I type in the search box the window flickers in and out very fast, almost as if another windows is popping up and changing the active window.

Items on my task bar also flicker. When I roll the mouse over them the aero window will pop up and drop back down extremely fast.

Finally when selecting/highlighting items in some windows, and on the desktop, I will begin to highlight and then all of a sudden my highlight will disappear.
